Have you ever made your own handmade upcycled treat bags? All you need is a few basic items and a sewing machine.
If you shop from Amazon, you probably have plenty of crumpled, used packing paper. This basic brown paper does a pretty good job of delivering our orders without damage and it makes awesome unique upcycled treat bags!

Upcycled Halloween Treat Bags
These fun upcycled treat bags are made from paper package filling from some of my Amazon and other online purchases.
They are a fun DIY project that can be made into any simple shape for almost any occasion. I started by creating a reusable cardstock template of a basic candy corn shape printed from my computer.
We transferred the stencil shape onto our flattened packaging paper and decorated it with a permanent black marker. You can use as many colors and add as many designs as you’d like before you sew the bags.
Next, we colored our design before attaching a second piece of recycled paper on to the back of our design and sewed around the edge with a patterned stitch.

After trimming the bags with scissors, we filled the bags and tied them with a natural raffia ribbon.
Now, these special treat bags are ready for the party!
